experimental installations

This is an experimental installations of transformations and observations in the spaces between people, objects and happenings. Raw materials, such as electricity, gas, magnets and water, find themselves collaborating with other equally binding agents with conductive properties to create surprisingly detailed choreographed actions. As a result, her interventions are both object and event; a form of sculptural thought experiments that introduce unexpected links between people and physical phenomena.

Prada Marfa

In the middle of the West Texas desert, on a country road leading to the small town

of Marfa, completely isolated from its usual urban context, ELMGREEN and DRAGSET’s

symbol of luxury and capitalist promise still sits in that romantic landscape, jarringly

juxtaposed with Marfa’s hard-working native inhabitants, albeit with graffiti now

scrawled on the exterior walls.

Preserving a monument goes hand in hand with destroying it. In order to preserve architecture, cultural monuments and relics, they are often re-located, thus abolishing the original context. The potential knock-on effects are urban displacement and the disappearance of the concepts of autonomous geography and archeology. The dislocation of a monument not only alters the history of its original location, but also leads to a radical re-interpretation of the monument itself.

Plan For Victory

The walls repetitively shake with the growing roar of ELODIE PONG’s Plan For Victory, a short video that depicts a mountainside avalanche.  Written in pink graffiti on the snow are the title’s words, as boulders begin to fall, trees topple and finally an overwhelming cascade of snow blankets the entire scene.  The human inscription is effaced, the landscape re-made by natural disaster.

This advertise attracts me with the beauty of carving especially the first to which are straw chewed to be a Venus and finger nail chewed into a beautiful puppet. The message is very clear. By reading the advertising concept one can understand the purpose straight away. The message that this advertising is trying to convey is that if you chew this gum then your chewing skill will get better that you're even able to carve these things into these shapes. The object that they use to show the skill are objects that people usually chew when they are young. This technique really works out well as one is able to understand the concept easily. This advertising uses three steps of thinking which are:

Gum so what? help your chewing skill so what? you are able to make such beautiful sculpture with your mouth.
